South Plaza is one of the smallest and most colorful islands in the archipelago. It has spectacular flora that covers the ground in wonderful colors while also having an abundant amount of wildlife. Bright red and purple Sesuvium mix with prickly pear cactuses trees dot the landscape to create a dense carpet of vibrant colors that leave visitors in awe. South Plaza is home to a sea lion colony, land, and marine iguanas and on the cliffs, a variety of swallow-tailed gulls and red-billed tropicbirds can be found. South Plaza is also one of the most popular snorkeling sites.
