Cotopaxi Day Tour

Overview

The Avenue of the Volcanoes is the most visited site in the highlands of Ecuador. The highlight of this region is the cultural and natural richness we found in this area. There are numerous national parks, archeological sites and indigenous markets along with dramatic ecosystem changes due to the mountain chain.

The Cotopaxi National Park is home to one colossal active volcano. Alexander Von Humboldt, the famous German scientist used to say: Ecuadorians are strange and unique beings: they sleep peacefully surrounded by roaring volcanoes, they live poor among incomparable riches and they become happy listening to sad music.
